"I tried the black/navy dress on today and I really wanted to like it, but it didn't work out.
The colors are just as pictured. I found it to be true to size. I'm 5'4" and 110 lbs and the XS fit well. The banded tube/bra part underneath fit well and snug. It was somewhat see-through, but not to the extent that I felt uncomfortable. I would wear a strapless bra underneath anyway.
My problem was the circle straps in the back. They were too long so they just sort of hung in the back and overlapped themselves. It looked awkward."

"I purchased the black dress.. very lovely. I am about 33-23-33 and 5'0 and the xs fits me perfectly in all ways. I really couldn't have asked for a better fit. This leads me to believe that it DOES run a bit small, because usually an xs would be slightly large on me."

"Based on the reviews I read on this dress, I ordered a small and extra small. Normally I wear a size 2, but the extra small was way too tight. But the small was still a little more snug than I like. The dress is very pretty, but if you're slightly curvy, you may find the dress hugging certain areas a little too much. In the end, I returned both sizes."

"I tried the fuscia on in the store. I normally float between a small and medium depending on how forgiving the bust is. I tried on a large and I'm not sure if the dress was small, or just put together awkwardly, but my proportions and the dress's cut weren't jiving. Normally I have no problems wearing FP dresses. The issues seemed to be in the hips more than anything else, and I'm not a particularly hip-y girl.
Someone with particularly narrow hips, and a particularly small rear would probably look quite snappy in this dress, as it is very cute in general... just not made for everyone."

"When I first tried on the dress, it felt fine. However, after I wore it a few times, I noticed that it was a bit short. I bought a size small, and I'm about 5'7". Also, the chest part is strangely awkward for me, since I have to continuously pull up the inside tank top. But a definite plus side is that wherever I go, I always get compliments about the dress. It's one of my favorites!"

"I tried this dress on today in a small, and it was really cute and fit just like in the pictures. The drapey part in the back just kind of annoyed me -- I don't need anymore backside emphasis.. but it is a very cute and creative design. I only saw the fuchsia color, which is my favorite online anyway, and it is very pretty. The straps were not tight at all, more on the loose side in fact."

"As is always with clothes from FreePeople, this dress is of a superb quality. The material feels very nice to the skin and the detail at the top is extravagant. However, I am a tall girl (around 6 ft tall) and got to say, it is a bit too short for me. So, if you are completely comfortable with super mini lengths and showing all of your legs, then this dress might fly. In any case, I think it is gooorgeeeouss...so, I'm wearing it for sure!"

"I was SO excited to get this dress, but when it came, if fit a little snug and it was much shorter than I expected. It barely fit over my butt, and the seam from the underlayer sits awkwardly in the middle of my butt. I do have hips on the larger side, but not overly so. Also, the front did not drape as much as is pictured but hugged my chest, which I didn't think looked very good. The color and fabric looked and felt great (I got it in fuschia), so if you have the right body type this would be super cute."

"I was so excited when I tried on this piece but disappointed when I looked to snug in it when I got in my usual size S and also tried the M and it was way too big. The traps are tight and hurt the armpit area. The straps are awkard and need to be fix even though the design on it is beautiful. If you can look good in this piece buy it but it is a piece that does not look good on alot of body types."

"I love this dress but I'm very tall (5'10") so I had a problem with this dress being long enough in the back - when I bent over it showed a bit too much :( I ended up exchaging it for a larger size in hopes that it will just sit a bit lower in general and thus keep me from feeling like I need to tug it down. I am still waiting for the replacement but hopefully it will work out because I love the style, fabric, and color."

"I got this dress yesterday and it is adorable! However, I wear a size 2 in all FP clothes, but an xs was too small for me. I sent it back and choose the fuschia one in a small. I originally ordered the yellow, but the tube top underneath is see thru! It is a dress that is meant to be worn without a bra, so I think the darker color may help. All in all, I love the way the dress is made and the fabric is ultra soft and cool. Perfect for a hot summer day. I can't wait to get the other color and size in this dress. A must have for summer."
