"I bought this dress in a size 0 i eggplant, i am 5' 3'' and 95 pounds i absolutely love it it is so cute! As everyone is saying though, it is EXTREMELY short. I can manage to wear it without any pants or shorts on underneath, but not if it's windy or i'll be running around. But my cousin borrowed it and wore shorts underneath and it's still just as cute and the detail is very nice and i have received a lot of complements on it!"

"This flirty little cotton dress is absolutely gorgeous in white. It does seem to run at least a size small in the chest. I have a size 34C chest and sized up to a size 10 (only size left in the store). With a bra, the chest area is still a little tight. And as the other reviewers mentioned, the length is quite short. I am very excited to wear this dress over my swim suits on an upcoming beach vacation. I essentially never wear dresses, but this one was just too adorable to pass up. The embroidered love birds are vibrant and beautiful. And the seaming down the waist is comfortable and flattering, lightly skimming a narrow waist (more so than the website photos show). The under lining is certainly necessary, but even still, nude colored underwear (or a swimsuit you want to show off) will be necessary. The flirty skirt has a bit more volume than I wanted, so I will likely alter the seams on the side to take a little material out. The straps are perfect and allows the dress to either have straps crossing in the back (my favorite) or normal spaghetti straps. Overall I absolutely adore this dress and highly recommend it."

"I've wanted this dress since March, as soon as I saw it I fell in love with the embroidery and the style! I'm from the UK and this dress isn't sold in shops over here (and I'd rather not pay the shipping fees to buy from the website), so I desperately looked on every other clothes site I could think of to find one similar, nothing even came close, this is such a unique dress. Fortunately I was in New York last week and it was on sale, and I was not disappointed! It fits perfectly, I'm only 5'2" but I thought the length was perfect. I'm a size 4/6 and the shape of the dress was flattering - it does flare out at the hips as another reviewer said, but it's so tight at the waist that it just emphasises curves. I'm a size 34C chest and the bodice also fits well and I can comfortably wear this without a bra.
I've worn this dress so much since I bought it; to a BBQ, shopping, clubbing, it's so versatile and I've received compliments every time I've worn it. My only regret is that I didn't buy it in white as well!
Free people, PLEASE open some boutiques in the UK!"

"I was a little disappointed with this dress. I bounce between two different dress sizes on FP depending on the style -- Either a 2 or 4. -- but even though I got this in a 4, it is utterly indecent on top and ridiculously short. And I don't mind showing a little skin, but it just doesn't look right. More like a tunic. Also, like so many otherwise adorable dresses at FP, it flares really wide at the hips and makes me look huge.
I really really love the colour (eggplant) and the embroidery though, so I 'm going to wrestle with it and get it altered so that the hips aren't so wide, and then maybe I can get away with it with a slip or shirt to layer. My advice though: buy larger than your largest FP dress size and just get it altered."

"Got the white and received so many compliments. I'm 5'0 and usually a 0 or xs, but I got a size 2 for this dress. It's not too short but it's close and would suggest going a size up. straps are adjustable too so going a size up isn't a problem. the band in the back also helps in it being fitted. The white skirt is kind of see-through at the bottom so if you dont want to have to be self-conscious the entire time you're wearing this then pick the purple. hope that helps."

"I got this dress in the white. It is very cute but extremely short. I think I am going to have to wear purple (the same one as the birds) leggings. It is a good fit but I had to get a bigger size since the 0 was way too short (especially if you have a big bust) I am a 34C and so the front of the dress went up. I am 5"4 (115lb) and the dress is just long enough to not show anything. I suggest getting a size or 2 bigger.
P.S. The fabric is great and so is the pattern."

"I wanted this dress for so long, and I was not dissapointed when it finally arrived. Yes, it is quite short, but what's wrong with showing a little leg? It fits perfectly, and the color is gorgeous. "i just bought this dress yesterday at the free people store. i tried it on before but they only had the size 2 which i felt was a bit loose. they finally had a size 0 and it fit perfect! i'm 5'0, 100 pounds. if you have larger breasts, i think it would be best to order a size up. i'm an A cup so it didn't matter but there are adjustable straps in the back. its a perfect summer dress and very "flowy" :)

"I was going to purchase this dress online, but glad I didn't. I tried it on in the Santa Monica boutique and it is very very short. I'm only 5'1 and it was even short on me. I don't like leggings so I didn't get it. However if you don't mind scandalously short, it is a super cute dress otherwise."

"This dress runs very small, so I would recommend getting a couple sizes larger than usual. I am 5'3'' and a 34B and I got a size 8 which was still short but you can tie the straps in the back to make it tighter, so it works! It's a really cute dress for summer and the colors are lovely. BUT there is one flaw in this dress. After the second time I wore it I noticed the stictching of the flowers on the dress starting to come undone, so I had to fix that."

"I always shop online without any difficulty with free people, & in most items I am a 0. I received this dress in the eggplant the other day and it fits everywhere really nicely, but it is SOO so SO short!!! I went to the store to try on sizes there and in order to get a non-scandalous length I had to go up to a 6!! It still fits well and it really is an ADORABLE dress, just be careful but how short.
& even though I went up to a 6 it still fits well. the way the straps tie let you adjust around the bust to make it tighter so it still looks like a good fit even though it's a bit flowier now."
