"I've been on the fence for a while with Blowfish shoes. Couldn't make up my mind whether I thought they were truly cute, or if they'd just wind up being the new Uggs. I gave these a try, and I have to say, they really are quite unique, and surprisingly affordable given all the detail in both the color and the styling. Previous reviews that said the soles were a bit thin are correct, and I have to wonder how durable these shoes will ultimately be. There's also a strange velvety coating on the bottoms of the soles, which makes them a bit slippery on smooth surfaces - but I'm guessing it'll wear off within the first few times they're worn on concrete. Based on other reviews, I ordered a half size larger than I normally wear, and I have to say - I don't think it was necessary. I think the fact that they feel snug around the toe is because the top of the shoe flattens out (which you can kinda see in the side-view picture.) I think that had I ordered true to my size, they would have stretched out comfortably, since they're made of canvas. I wouldn't recommend ordering any size larger than you usually wear, because the top will still be flat, and the toe will be too long. Just perhaps stuff the toes with lots of paper and let them stretch for a couple days before wearing them for the first time."
