"This top is really cute but I wish the sleeves were different. The colors are really rich and original. The back is cute too."

"I think this top is really cute, but NOT A DRESS by any means. The slits on the sides go up to the top of my rear. But, as a top, it's pretty. As the previous reviewer said, the details are lovely. The color (silver) is a little off from the pictures. It is darker in person. The ladder things on the sleeve seem really delicate. Some of the ones in the store were sort of ripped away. I always wear a medium and the medium just seemed too fitted so I bought a large but am now thinking it could be too blousey. But I would say it runs slightly small unless you like things snug in general. Very pretty, I wish it was still on sale like it used to be, but it's still probably worth it."

Exquisitely detailed, unusually special
8.12.2009
"I found this top in a department store browsing the new Free People they'd gotten in for fall. I was kind of blown away when I saw it. This kind of tunic thing isn't normally my style, but this one struck me as something particularly special. The level of detailing is extraordinary-- the silver embroidery is delicate and finely done. The fabric is silky, a deep navy color. The entire top is very well made, so you're getting what you're paying for even though it's expensive. I'm small so I was worried it wouldn't fit, but I just bought on the small side- XS- and it worked well enough (it does fit loose, I think you can size down). I took it to the counter to buy and the first salesgirl said, "Oh, wow, I've had my eye on that top, I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy it." The second said, "I haven't seen that!! Is that new?? What I like about it is that it's so subtle, which isn't always the case with Free People." She said she doesn't usually buy FP (I, on the other, hand, buy plenty) but she might buy this. They suggested I style it with grey jeans. I was really interested by the fact that the top appealed so much to three very different girls with very different personal styles. Oh, you can only kind of tell in the third photo, but another nice touch is the slits in the sleeves, kind of a ladder effect (so you see a subtle bit of shoulder, haha). So I'm basically thrilled ;-)"
