"this dress fits true to size. i think it looks better loose, but the material doesn't have a lot of stretch. the shape is a bit boxy as designed, but i like where the waist line is, which gives the dress a retro look. the see-through part at the back has a sheen to it. a couple of discrepancies from the item description: the dress isn't lined, so is quite sheer. also, the dress is 100% silk, and the tag says dry clean only. the dress is quite short. i'm 5'3", and the bottom is just past my bum a bit. to not ruin the look at the back, i wear nubras with this. the print is as pictured and is very pretty. i actually really like this dress, but i'm taking one star off because i do think it's overpriced."

"This dress is 100% silk, and that's why the price tag is so high. I am a large, curvy girl, usually a size 12 or 14 in dresses, ordered the large, and it is one of my favorite pieces now. I love that it has a little room on me, with a 38D bust, I have trouble finding Free people dresses that aren't tight in the chest. It is very thin and more sheer than it appears, but I sort of thought that would be the case when I ordered it so I was mentally prepared. I wear a black cotton slip underneath to offset the 'sweetness' of this dress, and wear a wide leather belt to give it more shape and a little edge. It is very short, more like a longer tunic in my opinion, and I am 5'6" tall. I wear it with black tights and flats or boots and a jean jacket or cardigan and just love it. It is comfy and can be dressed up or down, would look cute with skinny jeans too. The sheer back is gorgeous and is sturdy, not fragile as you might think. The colors are vey true in the photos. The price is a bit high, but I believe it is a unique piece that will outlive the trends and will be a staple in my closet, so to me it's worth it. :)"

"Cheap fabric, I am pretty upset I made this purchase online without being able to try it on first. I am not completely versed in fabrics but if I am not mistaken this dress is mostly polyester. It's boxy and just not worth the price (or even half the price frankly). It would make sense for under $100, but I might not have purchased it even then. It is more sheer than it appears in the photo, but other than that the color scheme is true to the images. This item will be returned. I am 5' 7" and about 118 lbs."
