"They are wonderful, first of all! I do wish they came in half sizes because shockingly the 9 is a bit large- 8.5 would have been perfect, but I know an 8 would be too small so I just added gel insoles for the ball of the foot that helped and made them more comfortable. I have to stand all day at work and I was able to make it 6 hours before changing into flats. These are pretty comfortable for something so tall. I did have to poke more holes in the straps- I have scrawny ankles. It was easy to do and helped a lot. Overall they are great and very eye catching. p.s. so glad the footbed is padded suede also, help you not slip around in them :) The ones I got were tan suede uppers."

"i've been eyeing these babies since the moment they were launched and kept searching for a more wallet friendly alternative but when my patience finally wore on me decided to splurge and am so happy with the results! my only grip is that i am a 9.5 and since there are no half sizes i sized up, but i probably could have went with the 9 instead. nothing a little extra padding in the bottom won't fix. but aside from that they are gorgeous and surprisingly comfortable!"

I searched long and hard for these...
5.17.2010- 
"and I was so happy to finally find the JC Splendid in navy at Free People when it was sold out everywhere else. I am a 6 but I ordered a 7 because sandals with straps are forgiving like that. The first time I wore them was to a party that I did a lot of standing at. I've since added some clear gel insoles because the padding was just not enough for me. As for the fit, I think a 7 works well for a 6/6.5 foot. I wouldn't expect it to work out well for sizing down (ex 8 to 7). I gave this shoe a 4 out of 5 because of the padding and because of the ankle strap. I could do with extra holes to get the strap tighter, but the shoe man can do that for me. Other than those two very fixable thing I think that the look of the shoe and height it gives are awesome!"
