"I ordered these short online. I normally wear a size 8, I ordered a 29 and they fit perfect. I ordered the true blue color and they are slightly lighter than the ones pictured but are still great! I also love that they are high wasted and not super short. They also aren't super tight like most jean shorts you find now. These are by far my favorite jean shorts I have bought. I would recommend these to everyone"

Really Disappointed

"I already had one pair of these shorts and I really liked them. They fit great and were true to size. I liked them so much I decided to buy another pair. I ordered them in true blue thinking they were a different color than the ones I had previously bought in a freepeople store. Turns out they are the exact same color as the ones I had before. They look nothing like the picture. They are not blue like the picture. They are are a faded, duller blue. They also aren't distressed like they are in the picture but just have frayed edges. I'm really disappointed in the false adversing and am not looking forward to paying the shipping to send them back."

"Great shorts! The material is super soft and the cut is very flattering. These shorts run true to size. I thought they would be really short with the cuts on the side, but they are not. I suppose for a shorter look you could size down and wear them higher on the waist. Going to purchase in other colors too!"

"I ordered my normal FP size and they fit great...however, I ordered them in the blue and the color is definitely not like the picture. They are much lighter and less destroyed, but I'm hoping they will wear in after I wash them. Overall, I'll end up keeping them, I'm just disappointed in the color."

"I'm 5'8" 140lbs, usually a 28 in shorts and jeans, which is what I purchased in the true blue. Then i saw that the model was listed as wearing a 28 and almost freaked out. She must have it pinned in placed you can't see because the 28 fits me just right and even stretches out to give it the slouchy effect, as pictured. However, the color is Far off. Mine had much more of a grungy dirty color to them and are blue but not that bright or deep. After washing them once the color is more on the light blue side but definitely nothing like the pictures. Price is reasonable and they are comfortable."

"can be worn with tights and combat boots or just with a pair of sandals/cute sneakers. they run larger than FP pants but I got my normal (outside of FP) size and they fit perfectly! I got a size 26 and usually have to get a 27 in FP pants"

"I purchased these in the true blue and white. Both in the same size. The true blue fit much baggier than the white. I guess it just all depends on how each one is cut. I recommend trying them on in the store because they seem to me to each be a little different. I ordered up a size because I don't want them to be tight so I feel like they are basically TTS. I like that I can roll them up in front and not in back for a different look. Really great basic denim shorts!"

"I'm in between a size 26-27, but went with the 26 for these. I'm a little confused because when I tried the 26 at the Manhattan Beach location, it was sooo tight that I couldn't even button it up. But when I tried the same size on at the Torrance location, it fit perfectly. Not sure what that's about, but glad it fits!
There's not really much I have to say about this item. I don't love or hate it, but I purchased it because I needed it. Probably going to wear them a lot during summer when the weather heats up."

"I got these in Glacier in my normal FP size and they fit perfectly. I thought they were going to be a true white short but instead they are really really light blue, I would even say that they have a cream undertone to the fringe at the bottom of the shorts. They fit great and look good on, I'm not a twig and they still look great! They come just below my belly button and I don't find them to be too short. I have another pair of cut offs from FP and I absolutely love them, they are flattering and always great quality! Not what I expected but still a great addition to my wardrobe, thanks FP!"

"The dipped sides on these are so cute! I got the lightest color and I am happy that there is very little distressing other than the bleached out denim and frayed ends. They are short but not One Teaspoon short. I found the waist to run slightly large, but then again there is so much random variation FP sizing that it's hard to tell pair-to-pair. Recommend you try on in the store."

"I love high waisted short shorts, but I always find them to be tooooo short! I ordered these ones a size up (I'm usually a 27, but ordered a size 28 because I have a bigger booty) and they are sooo comfortable and so cute. The pockets are a great size, they're a tiny bit stretchy but not overly, and they are long enough to cover my bum without being too long! Like I said, I love short shorts. I'll definitely be wearing these all summer!"

I also really love the "dolphin" detail on the sides. I think it adds some subtle sexiness. If you want them to be fitted, order your regular size, if you want them a little loose, order a size up."

"I wore these the other day with black tights. They're pretty cute, but they tend to roll up on the edges, making them seem shorter than they actually are. And you can't tell in the picture, but there is a little hem along the bottom to prevent them from getting any shorter, which is nice. I can't wait to wear them in the summer!"
