Coastal Tote
Stunning, heavily embroidered tote bag. The back side has large outside pocket with corduroy and denim patch detailing, as well as embroidery and threaded tassels. Bell at each bottom side. Leather fringe and mini bells at each top side. Zipper opening at the top,. Inside is lined and has one zipper pocket. Handles are woven leather. Each tote is one-of-a-kind, and will vary slightly from what is pictured, but will still be very similar.

"when i first caught a glimpse of this tote, it seriously GRABBED me. you know what they say about that? if it GRABS you, then you HAVE to get it. of course, the price point deterred me from being impulsive but i couldn't stop thinking about it. i live in hawaii, where we have no Free People store, so i couldn't even have a look-see. i called my sister in seattle and asked her to check the stores close to her so she could give me her personal opinion and possibly send some pics to me. she checked 2 stores. neither carried it. according to the salesgirl, she said they wouldn't be carrying it in THEIR stores because it is a "high-end" item. at her advice, i went ahead and just ordered this tote taking comfort in the fact of knowing i could return it if i wasn't happy with it. so here's my opinion: it is GORGEOUS. truly distressed look, very boho, quite detailed. very "Free People." having said this, i was a little taken off guard when i received it and the front of the bag looked very similar to the picture online BUT the back did NOT. in fact, it looks ENTIRELY different and does not come even close to the description and pic online. however, i might add that it's still VERY pretty. it's a generously sized bag, and i LOVE big bags! BUT the zippers are VERY low quality and i can see them breaking within the month. it's a good thing the bag is so big and deep, i might not find it necessary to even use the zipper. i might add that the "bells" on the bottom corners of the bag aren't even bells but rather "faux" bells. metal balls that LOOK like bells. and that might be a good thing because i think it would get annoying jingling all over the place. only the bells at the top are real. and they're cute and tolerable. meaning, i won't feel like i'm a charity attempting to grab your attention during the holidays for a monetary donation. but i'm having a real tug-o-war with whether i should keep it or not.....it's incredibly gorgeous, just not for $468. i'm torn.....4 stars only because of the inaccurate/misleading DESCRIPTION of the back of the bag and the "bells" at bottom corners, plus the low quality zippers. 5 stars for the overall beauty of the bag. attaching pics of the front and back."
