"I don't know why it doesn't say this in the product details, but these boots are made by Old Gringo, which means they are handmade and go through over 100 steps before they are finished. They are only available through Free People, so I guess they are an "exclusive" design.
Anyway, about the fit: I am usually a 7 or 7.5 because I have a wide foot around the ball of my foot. Because I suspected that these might be Old Gringo's (the color name "brass" was a hint) I got the size 7, as they are often wide around the ball of the foot. And they fit perfectly! I will not have to break these in at all. The toebox has some room, too.
So, if you are between sizes, you might want to get the smaller size. And if you have really narrow feet, these might not be the boots for you.
As for the look, they are surprisingly sophisticated for cowboy boots, probably because of the little flowers and vines. They make my feet look smaller.
I am very happy I bought these. They should last for years."
"I'm in LOVE!!!! Best looking, best walking, most compliment getting boot I ever owned. Like the other reviewer says: These boot fit tight in the shaft and are a little resistant to be put on in the beginning, but not for long. You'll enjoy these boots for many years to come. Wearing mine with skinny pants, shorts, denim skirt or dresses. love, love love!!!
One warning. I had my cobbler put a rubber sole on the front as it rains a lot here and ...aaarg ..he polished off the distressing of the sole. And the company that made them says there is nothing they can do. So let your cobbler know you don't want the sole polished BEFORE."

"I love these boots! They are distressed and yet very feminine. When they first arrived they were extremely hard to put on - they are not tight in the foot area once they are on - they are just hard to put on as they don't give room for you foot to slide through (just like a cowboy boot). Once I got a heel slip (not sure the technical name) my foot slipped in perfectly but I always need the tool to get my foot into the boots. They are definitely worth the hassle!!! Fit TTS otherwise."
