"A great slip dress. I got mine in navy w/mulberry trim. Thicker material than pictured, the hem also doesn't seem so asymmetrical in person. Looks amazing with a belt and a tiny cardi. I get so many more compliments on this than I would expect from such a simple slip dress."

"Quite possibly most incredible FP purchase EVER! Runs slightly big. Usually S-M @FP, purchased an XS to fit properly under dresses (I usually size down in slips). Although I love it under long sweaters, it still looks wonderful on its own as a dress. I purchased 3 of 4 colors: Silver, Gold and Teal ("black")."

"I ordered this in the navy initially but liked it so much I ordered the silver too. Unlike so many of Free Peoples items, the fabric is actually thicker than you would expect. So, you can definitely wear this as a dress as well as a slip. The photos make it appear thin and "unforgiving" but that is not the case.
The colors look as the photo shows.
I ordered a medium. It fits great. Well, I would have liked to try a small but when I ordered, they didn't have them. The only reason I would have liked to try a small is the top is a bit loose but it doesn't look "wrong". I liked the medium because it looks a bit more blousy than the picture you see on the model. I think that lends itself to being worn as a dress. If I were only planning on wearing it as a slip, I might try a small but I think I'll be using it as both a dress and slip. So I'm happy with the size.
The length on me comes mid-knee or slightly higher.
Here are my stats so you can have an idea of your sizing.
I am 5'2" and 115. I consider my shape as being slightly curvy. I have a long waist. I'm a 34C. I wear size 28 in most jeans.
I would say this runs true to size. I would typically order smalls or mediums in Free People. I believe both would fit."

"I recently bought this dress / slip in the washed black (which is a stunning dark green). The material has a great "barely-there" feel. This works well for layering or on its own with a sweater / cardigan
Only caveat: it comes pretty wrinkled in the bag, so just turn the shower on full-blast hot for five to get the wrinkles out.
Definitely recommend for night out on the town, or casual afternoon depending on the right accessories."

"Perfect Fit. I love to wear dresses, but I am a little taller, so the dresses are always a little short. This slip is the perfect layering item! It makes all of my short dresses, longer! I got the gold, but went back for the black as soon as I wore the first one. It is super comfortable!"

"I was weary about spending $88 on a slip but decided to buy it anyway (gold). I am glad that I did! I liked it so much that I bought the silver one too! They make wearing a dress or jumper so much more comfortable. I usually wear a low-cut long-sleve shirt under the slip with a jumper. This shows off the beautiful lace on the neckline."

"I have this in washed black which is more like a very dark teal. The fit is great, comfortable and flattering. The silk is soft and feels great. It can be worn as a layering item or just by itself, both looks are fabulous!"
