"If you have any chest at all, this hangs very unflattering. It's basically a large piece of material with no shape. I think it would look nice one someone petite...."
"I ordered this dress in yellow and the one i received didnt have the nice faded look like the one shown, so i sent it back. I got the blush and the navy and I really like them. I have to wear leggings with them because I have a bubble but that makes the dress even shorter. Overall I would say this is a nice very casual, comfortable dress. In other reviews people said this could be worn in the summer, I disagree. I hope FP comes out with more colors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

This is a dress?
2.7.2013-
"Just received this "dress"....and trust me, it isn't even close to being a dress. I'm 5'6'' and it was basically a tee that couldn't even cover my butt."
"The dress was a very pretty color. Got the yellow. Ordered down to an XS. It looked like a maternity dress on me...sadly I had to return it. I think you need to be fairly tall to carry this one off. I'm 5'4"...."
"Got the blush top today. It is really big. But, I think I can work with it. For one thing, I am wearing it backwards. the Neckline is lower in the back and if I wear it in the front I can let it fall off one shoulder, that counteracts the baggy look. I think it works well over jeans. It has raw edges on the hem and sleeves and the fabric is thin and drapey like jersey, also very stretchy. I put a little vest over it and it pulls it all together. Alone it is rather shapeless, but it could work layered. All that said, I like it and plan to play around with it, pairing it with lots of other pieces. I'm keeping it. I would be very careful washing it. I wouldn't throw it in the washer/dryer. Very comfy."
"Cute, but definitely shrinks. After reading previous review, I washed in cold (hand wash cycle) and dried it flat on a towel. No dryer. It still shrunk a bit, but I was able to stretch some length back while it was still wet. Whew. This one will go in the high-maintenance category."

SHRINKS!
1.29.2013-
"I bought this dress in a small and it was a bit droopy/loose on the shoulders but it wasn't too bad (should have bought the XS) I am 5'1" with 34D..
After wearing it, I followed the wash directions on the tag #cold wash tumble dry) and it got 6 inches shorter! When I tried it on my butt was sticking out. I tried to wash it again and stretch it out but it did nothing.
It is a bummer that it didn't work out because it was super comfortable. That said, I returned it."

loved online, not in person
1.29.2013-
"online i loved this dress, the color and the styling. when i got it, it was too big and had no shape and the color was not for me. even if i went back and ordered in a small, it still would have just hung on me and gave me no shape. i tried belting it and that was a disaster."
"This is so cute and casual. It fits well and it's very comfortable. Looks great with tights and boots- and will look great in the summer with sandals. Very pleased with this!"

Love it so much I bought 2!
1.22.2013-
"I ordered this in navy originally because it had such positive reviews and was glad I did! I've been wearing this non stop with leggings or tights and boots or even just around the house. I would recommend sizing down. I ended up buying it in yellow too and ordered an XS because the S was just a big too roomy. I'm usually an S with Free People."

"love this dress. super comfortable and so simple and cute. really can wear it with anything. i got the navy and might have to get another color as well. the only thing i dont like is the raw edges. but an easy fix with a tailor. 2needle coverstitch along the edges should do the trick so the yarns won't fray"

Worth the Wait!
1.14.2013-
"I have been waiting for FP to restock this frock for a few months and FINALLY it is available again!! I was able to purchase the navy color and was super stoked for it to arrive! It fits like a dream and is soooo comfy. I live in the Midwest so our weather is crazy in the winter, 50 degrees one day then 20 degrees the next. I love layering this frock with tights, over the knee socks, and my fave vintage leather riding boots! I'll sometimes wear my boyfriend's flannel over top if it is warmer, or layer up my outfit with oversized sweaters and heavy knit scarves. I will more than likely buy this garment in the different colorways, and I would definitely suggest to add this garment to your wardrobe! – Cheers from St. Louis, Y'all–"

Ivory IS Pink and Navy is Charcoal
1.13.2013-
"I purchased this dress in ivory and navy. Ivory definitely is pinky peach. Still pretty, and still will keep, but it has a pink tint to it. The navy is more like charcoal, which is a good thing as it works well with black. I normally wear a M in Free People, but only a small was available in the navy, so I bought it. The Small fit perfectly...even better than the M (which I bought in the ivory) As for the styling, I kept feeling like the dress was on backwards. So, I turned it around, and it looked SO much cuter! Nice scoop neck! Only problem was that there is a tag sewn in the back, so I carefully removed it and now I really love this dress! (VERY carefully removed it as the fabric is delicate...not scratchy at all, but very delicate)"
"I liked this dress, but wasn't in love with it online. My size medium quickly sold out. When my size popped back, I ordered it, because the reviews were great and I love Free People's free shipping. I knew from the reviews that the cream color would not be cream, but pinkish from other reviewers. I see now that they have changed the name to pale blush. I actually love the color it is. It is the softest of soft peachy pinks. The fit is super cute and flattering. I will be wearing this with fun patterned tights. I do have to layer something under this, because the material is thin and see through. When I pulled it from the bag, I thought, "this is going back." It did not look like anything special. The fit is what makes this dress. It is what Free People is good at. They take really cheap fabric and make it into something special. That is why, despite the fact that the dress probably is not anywhere close to being worth the price, I am keeping it."
"Unfortunately I ordered this before the last few reviews posted. I'm torn as well. This is adorable, love the shape and the deep scoop in back. Fabric is nice, has a nice swing/flow to it without bulk. But the color.... Peachy pale pink is a color I have stayed away from for years. Not really a good color for me, maybe could pull it off if I were super duper tan. So since I am no longer a sun worshiper I will prob return. Wish it was Ivory or wish other colors were available. Note about sizing...don't size up."
"there are a couple of issues that I have with it. First, the material is VERY thin. I got the navy and I find it to be much too thin, almost see-through. Then there is the low scoop in back. My bra shows, and not just the back where the clasp is. The entire back of my bra, including the straps. Not a good look for me. (For the record, I am 5', 34DD and I ordered a S) And yes, as another reviewer mentioned, the material is a bit scratchy and cheap-feeling for the price. Too bad because the navy looked so good online. I am on the fence about this one because of the value..."

Love it but color?
1.5.2013-
"I just got this in xs and I adore it. It's roomy through the middle but not like a tent like a true swing dress. I do think it runs large through the middle but is fitted more at the shoulders and neckline. Very pretty. My only thing is the "white" is absolutely more peachy-pinky and this is the 2nd FP dress I've gotten that is described as white, looks white or cream in photos and is actually a pale pink/peach. I am kind of wondering why because the photo looks like a true white to me. But I love the dress and in NC I can wear this year round with boots or sandals. I personally hoe they make more colors soon."

It isn't ivory, and it's a little scratchy, but...
"I'm kind of conflicted about this dress, to be honest. The material isn't particularly soft, and the color is a light peach, as opposed to the "ivory" I was expecting. The cut however is very nice, and it's roomy without swallowing you. I just don't love the scratchy material or the light-pink color when I was expecting something soft and in off-white."
