Unique but not great quality; varies significantly

"I really love how this jacket looks on other customers in the gallery photos, but for the life of me, I could not get one that was both decent quality AND had good embroidery. I ordered three of the jackets in hopes of getting one that would work. The first one had horrible neon purple and green embroidery. It was not pretty at all. The second one had lovely embroidery, but the leather actually felt cheaper than it had in the other jacket (I only ordered black, for reference; not sure if brown is different) and it was really tight in the shoulders (which was not the case in the other jacket). The third jacket I ordered had embroidery that reminded me of the circus - lots of bright yellows, purples, red and blues in a really big flower-like pattern. I was not a fan, but the leather on that jacket felt MUCH better than any of the other jackets. In the end, I had to say to myself, Do I really want to pay this much money for a jacket that has something about it that I wish was different? The answer was no. I might consider this if it goes on sale. I agree with all the other reviewers that this jacket is horribly overpriced for the quality of the leather (I also noticed on the last jacket I got that the embroidery was falling apart/ripping; this was not a problem with the first two jackets). Anyhow, consider this jacket if you have tons of money to blow and don't mind spending so much on something that is probably only worth $150. Otherwise, wait for it to go on sale."

"First, just let me put this out there. For what it is (quality of leather, construction, Made in India, etc), this jacket is not worth the price tag. The leather is thin and the jacket is lined with thin cheap cotton.
However, the jacket itself is very unique + funky, with the mirrored fabric shoulders being the reason for that. What a great looking jacket! I was lucky to receive one with nice fabric.
Note that the jacket is a tad cropped, so if you have a long torso like me you may want to size up. Another reason you may want to size up is that the arm openings at the shoulder are pretty fitted. I could not wear a light sweater comfortably in the size 2 that I ordered. I usually wear a 0 or 2 (FYI, I am 5'6, 120lbs, 32b, 25, 36), but decided to size up to a 4. Hopefully my size 4 arrives in a few days, because I am really eager to rock this jacket!

Poor leather quality
1.3.2014
"I ordered this jacket in my usual size 4 in black. When it arrived, I was surprised that the leather was so thin and soft; therefore could tear easily. The embroidery was so so; big round circles that were lacking little mirrors. Without hesitation, I sent it back and replaced it for the camel color, hoping that the leather would be thicker.
I mean, the website photos show a good quality, sturdy leather. Not the case on both colors. I returned the other one as well.
In my opinion, it is worth not more than $189. Good idea but poor craftsmanship. And the fact that you can't pick out the embroidery yourself, makes it difficult to find the one you'll like. I saw these jackets in a store, each of one size and the only one I liked - wasn't my size. Fit is TTS but I strongly recommend to wait until this goes on sale for over 50%, otherwise, you can find much better items for this price.

Varies SIGNIFICANTLY from Picture

"I ordered the camel colored version of this jacket. Unfortunately when Free People claims the embellishment may "vary slightly" they are lying. While the embellished design pictured is beautifully colored and set on a white and black background, what I was sent was a horrendously colored monstrosity. The main color of the embellished fabric on my jacket was a nauseating neon purple accented with equally obnoxious green, orange, and blue zig-zags. It looks amazingly tacky - DO NOT BUY THIS, NOT WORTH THE MONEY, IT LOOKS CHEAP WITH A CAPITAL "C.""

Awesome

"This jacket is is awesome. I bought the black color. The leather is super soft and its fits tts. I got a size four and its a little roomy, but thats how I like jackets. The fabric on the shoulders was more muted than I had expected. It looks almost worn or used. I have gotten many compliments on it. A unique spin on a classic leather jacket."

black size 6 biker jacket

"loved the uniqueness of jacket but disappointed in quality and finish. The leather is very soft but also very thin. Before opening package I thought it could not possibly be a leather jacket as it was so light. There is a wire at base of cuffs, bottom edge of jacket and through the collar. I assume it is there to give jacket some shape due to the thinness of leather. It is annoying. After having said all this I am not sending back. Still looks good on but definately not value for money. Feels like it is made in India."
