Little Different Than Expected
" I've been eyeing this dress for months debating whether or not to purchase and finally broke down. I will start by saying it's a nice dress. It is, however, a little different than what I expected. I am 5'4", 115 lbs, 34B or C bust, 27" waist, 35" hips and ordered a 2. I was actually really worried that it would be too tight in the hips but I wanted it fitted in the waist like on the model and based on measurements, a 2 was the right fit. Being too tight in the hips was an unwarranted concern. I had zero problem with fit. What I will say is that the material of this dress had FAR more give than I expected. I thought it would be very form fitting, more tailored, but it's actually pretty stretchy. For my hips this was great but slightly less so for my waist. The stretch actually made me look a little wider in the hips since the waist didn't pull in as much. I contemplated trying a 0 (which is a size I almost never fit into), but I'm not sure it will fit. As for colour, it was a little more natural than ivory. The detail of the neck and bottom was very nice. The neck closes with a hook and eye system that I don't believe any normal person could operate without the assistance of another person. It has three metal hooks but they hook into tightly sewn thread loops. I struggled long enough just trying to get one undone before putting it on, that I started wondering how the heck I'd ever get it closed once it's behind me so I skipped that and just put it on over my head which worked out fine, if not a little less ideal. Overall this is a pretty dress, not quite as flattering on as I had hoped. Worth $500....I still need to sleep on that. "
