Really wanted this to work!
1.11.2014
" This dress definitely needs to be downsized like the other reviewers noted. I am 36B, 29 in. waist and 39 in hips and a size 4 was almost perfect. If you are an XS there is no way this will work.
While the dress fits its also a little boxy with no stretch in the fabric. I was hoping it would cling to me like in the models pic and show some curve but instead I feel boxy in the chest and middle area. I am looking for a wedding dress and this is exactly the style I am looking for, but I did feel a little homely in it.
I know the other reviewers commented on how cheap the dress looked and I disagree, the metallic embroidered appliqué could have been better constructed for how much the cost of the dress is, but overall it works and did not really bother me. The slip that comes with the dress seems like it would hardly withstand a couple of washes, but I suppose that is easily replaced.
I really wish the dress was a little more flattering and Im considering taking it to a taylor to see if there is anything that can be done. If its too much work and headache, Ill return and continue my search for the perfect wedding gown.

not exactly as pictured but still stunning

" Like the other reviewers in this post, i do agree that this dress KILLED it in the pictures and made me dream of purchasing it for my wedding dress. I did take into consideration the other reviews regarding quality and fit so, luckily, i found a local free people who had this dress available for me to try on. I am a size 4 but found a 0 in stock since the reviews said it ran huge. this dress does run big but the fabric has no stretch in it so I see why they were generous in sizing. The size 0 fits me perfect, i have a smaller waist and chest and wide hips, so i plan on taking it to a tailor to get it taken in where needed. This dress is stunning though, the embroidery is amazing, the lace is off white and it is a cotton blend I think so it does look more casual than the pictures suggest. However I am super excited to wear it on my wedding day and think it definitely a unique and better option to a princess poufy dress that is definitely not my style "

Tragically Beautiful
12.21.2013
" In the photos, this dress looks like every girls dream but quickly turns into a nightmare when you see it in person. It looks very cheaply made and the point where it flares out hit below my knees allowing for hardly any movement. the bodice was ginormous and i'm pretty sure i could've fit my sister in the dress too. it was falling off my shoulders and the cuts were not even. one sleeve was a good inch longer. Disappointed
11.27.2013
" This dress looks gorgeous in the photos, but completely fails when you get it in person.
First of all, the sizing is COMPLETELY off. I have a 27" waste and ordered the size 4 accordingly. When the size 4 arrived, the waste was 32". I had to return it for a 0 (hoping for something better) which was still way too big.
So if you are a smaller girl, don't even bother ordering this dress as even the smallest size won't fit you. The proportions on this dress are also all wrong. The neck is higher than shown on the model and the shoulders are broad. It's just a bad cut.
Regardless of your size, you may not want to order this dress anyway. For $500 you expect a high quality product. Both dresses that I saw were vastly underwhelming. The dress is made of a cheap lace--reminded me of my grandmother's tablecloths--and not in a good way. Also, the metallic embroidery, while pretty, was already frayed in the package on both dresses.
The silk slip isn't well tailored so you'd have to have it altered if you wanted to wear this figure-fitting, as shown in the model.
Finally, the coloring of the actually dress is more of a creamy white, which is not how the photo looks at all.
FP, do your buyers a favor and please stop using instagram-like photos with heavy filters that don't allow us to actually see what the fabric and fitting of this product will be like. "
