Love this belt!
3.18.2013
"I just adore this belt! The lapis stones are big, the weight is substantial, it looks uber sexy draped along my hips and goes with lots of looks. The little dangley hearts fall off (needs repairs already) but that's no biggee. It's awesome!"

Beautifully Done!
3.14.2013
"I just love this belt. It sits nicely on my waist and I like to wear it low so the sizing fits me perfectly. This is handmade in Pakistan and the workmanship is amazing. Under most circumstances, I would dare not pay $138 for a belt, but, this belt is beautifully done and Lapis can be a pretty pricey stone when incorporated into accessories like this so I believe the pricing is right on the money."

Unique and beautiful but...
2.8.2013
"Had to have this and snapped it up before any of the reviews or the answer to my question came up. It is beautiful, heavy and decent quality. Like the other reviewers mentioned, it is long and if you are xs/s it will require removing some links.  Thank you to the first reviewer for providing info on how to make it fit, and get a bonus pendant too :)  Wish this came in 2 sizes, or smaller like some of the other "one size" belts.   No one wants to have to take time out of their busy day to adjust a $140 belt. ($165 in Canada with tax/customs/handling fee).
As second reviewer mentioned (thanks also), there is a dark blue/grey residue that rubs off on hands and clothing. This residue has also been mentioned in reviews for Kuchy belt and Morroccan necklace.
Can FP please identify what this substance is and give some ideas how to best remove it so it doesn't stain clothing and skin. I'd also like to know if the substance is potentially toxic like the lead /cadmium found in some jewellery, so I may take precautions around children and pets if necessary. Thank you reviewers and FP!

You should be able to buff the metal with a soft cloth to remove any residue. Every belt is cleaned prior to shipping & any residue that you are noticing is non-toxic -- the residue is actually from polish that was used to preserve the metal and give it extra shine. The rest of the belts have been double-checked and cleaned again to prevent this from happening in the future. Hope this helps! xoxo

Don't wear it with white
2.4.2013
"I really wanted to love this belt, but there is a strong possibility that I will be returning it. It is gorgeous but mine has three flaws.
First it is huge! It falls right off my hips. As the other reviewer stated, I would have to remove a portion of the belt in order to wear it.
Second, there is glue or something on the face of some of the lapis. Maybe it could be cleaned off. I don't know.
Third, it is covered in a horrible grey/black residue. The inside of the bag it shipped in was covered in it. When I took it out, my hands were covered in it. It definitely transfers to whatever it touches. I had hoped to wear it with a white shirt but I'm pretty sure it would stain the shirt. I haven't tried to clean it yet. That may be a possibility.
I did try holding it in front of me with a navy maxi dress though and it looked exotic and amazing. Maybe it is worth it to deal with the flaws?

Gorgeous but Super Long
1.19.2013
"I just received this belt today and it is just beautiful! The lapis is dark blue, thick and substantial, and the belt has a good hefty weight to it. The only problem is that the metalwork at 38" is way too long on me, so I had to remove a couple of the links. It was easily done with a pair of needle-nosed pliers. On the good side, I think I will be able to transform the one round lapis piece that I removed into a necklace by attaching a jumpring to one of the numerous metal loops surrounding the stone. The dangling hearts are hollow, so the belt does jingle when you move around. This belt looks much more expensive than it is. I am looking forward to dressing up my jeans and maxis with this belt, this spring and beyond."
