Amazing boots!!!
6.5.2013
" These boots are absolutely gorgeous. well fitted and have the option of wearing the detachable buckle or not.
They look better in person than in the pictures.
The laces are an effort to do up if you want them fully laced, they're certainly not slip-in boots but they're well worth it!

My favorite shoe!
3.12.2013
" These are now my favorite shoes. Nice to look at and comfortable to wear for everyday use. Some people may have to use some time to get them on, but if you have a thin calf you can get them on with the laces all up.
A minor minus with them for me is that if I wear them for a walk (ca. one and a half hour) I get blisters. But overall a great shoe for everyday use.

My Favourite Boots!
2.28.2013
" These are the most exquisite boots I have ever bought. And the most comfortable. The leather is butter soft, the size is perfect. I am a size 8 with a wide foot, and bought a size 8. There is a bit of room to spare om each side of my foot so if you have a narrow foot, your foot may swim in them a bit- nothing thicker socks wouldn't fix though. I bought the black, and the black isn't shiny like the photo's, very 'Matt' as the description sugests. Th cap was much shinier than I expected, but still fabulous. The quality is unbelievable. I'm just loving free people, my packages arrived wrapped beautifully, and the boots were exactly as described- thank you for your service to us Aussies! 5 stars "

Not for Bungee Jumpers
2.25.2013
" When I went to the post office to pick these up I couldn't quite remember why I'd ordered them. They were not my usual style or colour and I seriously do not need another pair of boots.  I know that alcoholics sometimes have periods where they blackout and don't remember things. Maybe FP holics have black outs too.
I did have some vague recollection of being really attracted to the shiny brass toe caps.. But really, almost $300 for brass toe caps? And then ... eep. Another $43 for tax/customs/handling in Canada.
Note to self:  must .... do... something ... about... FP addiction.
Despite all that, I love these boots!  The washed bordeaux colour is really kinda fun. It looks burgundy in some light, purple in others, and even brown sometimes. Very unique, and strangely not as hard to match as one would think. The leather is soft and beautiful and I wore these straight out of the box all day at work (I don't sit down much) and was very comfortable.
The brass toe adds an extra bit of panache, and is not overly shiny or ostentatious. I'd say they fit true to size. I'm usually 6.5, bought the 7 and they are slightly long as would be expected. The leather is not really what I would consider distressed, but I like it anyway just the way it is. Bottoms seemed a bit slippery on kitchen floor but seem to grip fine in everyday life. A bit time consuming to put on (no zipper). Definitely not for people who like to bungee jump into their shoes and rocket out the door, but overall very happy with this purchase :)
Great job FP !

FABULOUS but time consuming
1.6.2013
" My mother got me these boots in the bordeaux washed/brass colour for christmas and I totally love them. It is true that they are even cuter in person. They are not quite as bright red as the photo. In certain lighting they look more brown. I loved that they didn't have a zipper on the inside like some other Jeffrey Campbell boots. The only problem with this is that it takes forever to get them on or off. You have to undo the buckle part of the boots and then loosen the laces all the way until the bottom. Although it takes forever, it is worth the look of having no zipper (just don't make the mistake of wearing them to the airport like I did..). I am a size 8 but because the toe area is narrow and metal, it is a little tight on the toe part. These boots are definitely my new favourite shoes though. "

I'm in love... They look better in person!
12.27.2012
" Got 'em in black... BIG UPS to Free Peeps for quick free delivery! What a Christmas Gift! Anyways... the boot is all that! The color is way more dull than it appears in the photo, the leather is soft and supple and has no shine at all, the sole appears way more distressed in the photo than it does in person... the cap is shiny, no distress to the metal and its like a blackish-gray smoke color metal cap... they lace all the way up and I love the removable buckles, it makes the boot so versatile... the buckles attach to the boot by 2 magnetic snaps at the top back of the boot, I thought that was ever so clever... They fit true to size... I normally wear an 8, so I got an 8 with a little room to spare for a thick or thin sock... You do not want to get these shoes a size up or down or else they will be very uncomfortable and ill-fitting, if u wear an "8" get an "8"!... I love love love love love love love love love love love love love love these boots! The best $278 I've ever spent! "

Even better in person
12.10.2012
" I ordered the boots in the bordeaux washed/brass color and they're even better looking in person. The brass on my boots isn't as shiny in the pictures and the distressing is mainly just along the soles, but I don't mind. I'm usually a 7.5, so I ordered an 8. The length seems to be okay, but these boots probably aren't for people who have very narrow feet like me because the back of my foot completely comes up as I try to walk in them if I don't have the buckle straps on the top of my boots. Hopefully I can put some inserts in them to help with this, but otherwise fantastic boots. I highly recommend. "
