"I bought these jeans in the mango colour and was slightly nervous about the sizing because I have never ordered in American sizing before and I live in Australia, so it would be a pain to send them back if they were wrong. I am normally an AU 12 so I got a size 29, and they fit perfectly! The distressed look is wonderful, though I get a bit nervous having holes at the knees incase I bend my leg too far and rip it (but I've never worn anything like this before, so maybe I'm just new to it). The bottom half is also a bit loose on me, but I have extremely skinny ankles so that might just be me. Just a warning though, the colour is not the same as the online photos. I was expecting it to be paler, but it is a slightly darker orange than shown. That said, it is an absolutely gorgeous colour and I am not at all disappointed with my purchase, these are wonderful and the distressed quality keeps your outfit looking casual but still much more interesting than just regular jeans. I am considering ordering the pine colour too! :)"

"I kind of had low expectations when I ordered these - But when I got them in I was so shocked. They are awesome! I ordered them in Bay Blue & they are exactly as pictured. They do fit REALLY snug though & the fabric is pretty stiff. I wore them twice without washing them before they were somewhat comfortable. Hopefully they loosen up over time bc I'm in love with them!"

"i LOVE these jeans. bought the black pair last year and just last week ordered the gray color. only bummer, major bummer, was that when i took the jeans out one of the pockets was missing the little metal grommet accent. mailing them back and exchanging them is such a hassle so i guess i'll live with a small hole because otherwise the jeans are SO flattering and a great fit!"

"I really had to search hard for these in pacey blue size 24 short. I finally snagged a pair. They fit very well! I'm 5'2 107 pounds and was pleased with the fit. I've been wanting to try a pair of high rise jeans, but didn't want to pay the high price I usually pay for denim. These fit the ticket! The only complaint I have is what other reviewers discussed about the waist being big. Other than that they were perfect."

"I have these jeans in true black. I am 5' 8" and 120 pounds with fairly long legs and the regular length fits perfect. I won't dry these pants when they are due for a washing because I am nervous that they will shrink up a bit. I have a size 26 and I love them. High waist makes these jeans slimming and attractive!"

"I bought a pair of these in raindrop blue shortly after they were released (August) despite FP pants usually not fitting me; it was my quest for a pair of high-waisted pants that made me surrender anyway. Let me tell you it was the best decision I ever made; they fit like a glove! I am a curvy size 6 and was so amazed at how well they fit me! Fast forward and it's late March and they have ripped :( I will say they have been the only pair of pants I have owned since August and have withstood constant washing and wearing (obviously). I just received my replacement pair (same size: 28, same color: raindrop blue) and to my dismay, these suckers are tight and not stretchy like my previous pair! I am PRAYING that they start to give a little bit. My previous pair fit and was stretchy right out of the package. I could barely get these new ones zipped/buttoned. Both pairs made in China so I am unsure of how the fit and composition could be so different? Disappointed, but we'll see how this new pair ends up faring!"

"these jeans are amazing. the high waist is perfect. I am usually a 29 and they are true to size. I have them in raindrop blue and kate washed black. it's worth noting that the kate washed black definitely appears a lot more black on my computer screen than in person. the color is actually much more a charcoal gray and not as black as I expected. also, the material in these stretches a lot more than my raindrop blue pair. still, I love them both and will probably get another pair because they're awesome."

"Usually FP pants are a hit and miss. Some fit like a glove, some are very poorly sized. These are the former.
Made with a very comfortable, warm fabric that has lasted me around a year and a half already with a classy look, these blank palette jeans fit beautifully into anybody's personal style and closet.

"I tried these on in stores, but the 26 was wayyy too small (I'm usually a 26 or 27). So I ordered the 27 and they fit great on the legs, but tight on my waist. I have skinny legs and a somewhat wide waist, so I'm not blaming whoever made these, but if you have a similar body type to me then this is my heads up. Buy them, keep them, and love them, but be prepared to have an uncomfortable belly from the tightness of the pants all day (they don't stretch)."

"I had originally ordered a 27, but received a 28 in the mail. I was sad until I tried them on, because I do not think I could have worn a 27 (how did they know?! haha) I am 5'8", 143 lbs., natural waist 29, hips 37. I bought the eggshell, and they are white with a very slight pale yellow tint. The only drawback in the rips in them are not sewn, so they will keep getting bigger if I'm not careful (and I am not...). Otherwise, they are comfy and I love the high waist (as a mom, it helps!)"

"I ordered these in a 27 short in the pacey blue. Upon receiving them I was thrilled with the color (it's so hard to find light blue skinny jeans!#, the length, and the tightness of the legs #I hate "skinny" jeans that get bunched up and loose!# ... however, the waist was HUGE. I could have worn them 6 months pregnant. So, back they went for an exchange for the 26 short. I am thrilled with how quickly I received my exchange #only three days after I called!#. The waist is much better, not too tight and constricting, but not so loose like the 27 had been. The only caveat is that the legs also seem tighter than the first pair. Since my only problem was with the waist, I was a little bummed by how tight the legs felt going one size down. Just wearing them around the house, I kept getting this uncomfortable pinching feeling right behind my knees. Not to be deterred, I decided to give them another wear to see if they might stretch. I am on my second time wearing them now, and I notice they are getting more comfortable in the legs, not so much constriction in the bend-of-the-knee area. They do tend to fall down off the hips a bit as well, and need a periodic hoisting, which isn't too big a problem for me. For reference I am 5'2" hip 34.5" and fit #a runner#. My belly does have a little extra skin from having babie which is why I prefer high waisted pants to begin with. Anyway, I'd recommend two things: size down and give them a chance to stretch.

"I really liked the jeans the first hour I wore them they look great in the butt and the skinny leg is perfect. After an hour the pants stretched out quite a bit and I kept having to pull them up or the crotch would hang low. I put on a belt but had to take it off because of the high waist you could see the bulge under my shirt. The legs are snug which I like but they would be too tight if I sized down so that's out of the question. I'm contemplating keeping them anyway because they do look really good in the butt and I'm hoping they'll shrink some in the wash. I would have bought them in another wash if they didn't stretch out so much."

Paramount Wash Is Different In Person

"I had purchased these previously in Bay Blue and loved them so I decided to order them in Paramount too. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in this wash. In the photo the wash looked like a washed faded khaki. What I got was khaki with what looked like black soot stains all over them. I might have gotten used to this except the black mottling was concentrated heavily right at the crotch, upper inner thigh, and rear (definitely not shown in the photos) drawing attention to the area but and not in a good way. It looked like I had been dragging my bum around in a fire pit. I could not get these off fast enough. I usually love Free People but these are a definite miss and will be going back ASAP!"

"I was pretty happy with the fit of these jeans until 2 hours in. The waist is quite big and keeps stretching. With the leg being tight and fitted and the waist being larger, the pants kept getting pulled down so I have to keep pulling them up all day. Good quality denim and colour. I got a 27 but could have got a 26 if it had not been for the skinny leg."
