Loved this, however

"I fell in love with this top when I found it on line, I was a teenager in the seventies and I love that look. I am 56 yrs and wear 12/14 top. I ordered this top in a large and it looked ridiculous on me! I am too old for it. Even if I was skinny I think it would be a little much for a 56 year old. I sent it back. It is very cute, runs huge and would catch on everything but the cuteness is worth it, you just have to be careful while wearing it."

beautiful but extremely delicate

"This is one of my favorite pieces ever - it has beautiful detail and is very feminine.
The only real issue is that because it has so much detail and is so delicate, it's very hard to handle/wash/live in.
I LOVE it regardless! Strongly recommend."

"What can I say..... I purchased one in each colour in a small and for some reason the ivory again in an xs. I should have waited until I received the xs before ordering again however did not want to miss out.
The garment itself is gorgeous however I could easily make two of the tunics out of one. I understand returns are challenging and I live in Australia so am going to have them remade into something that looks like the model is wearing.
There is so much fabric. The bak falls down to my knees. I am 167ms and 57kg.
Supposedly she is wearing a small. Mmmmmm I don't think so. It is not even an xs!!
Never mind, you live and learn and again the fabric and design are gorgeous:)"

"Lovely but this fabric will catch on anything.
Too expensive for such quality of fabric. You will need something to wear under. .

Unique

"So unique I haven't worn it as much as I thought I would. It is beautiful and delicate, although I didn't find it THAT delicate. This is not a sweater. This is a summer item. I am normally a large, sometimes a medium and I took a small in this. The small looked the most flattering."

Oh My
3.13.2013
"Yep, the other reviewers are correct...it's a) huge, b) ridiculously delicate fabric and c) not exactly cost effective. HOWEVER, I'm keeping it, because the others were also correct that it is stunning. I purchased it because it looked pretty striking online and additionally, at this point I feel I have to prove to my friends & loved ones that I am capable of buying something, anything, that is not a FP thermal, of which I have something on the order of a bzillion of. Someday, somewhere, I will happen upon something to wear this with...it really is a wonderful piece."

HUGE

"This is a GORGEOUS top! I'm sick to have to return it, but honestly...it's like FP took an x-large top and put an x-small tag on it. I'm usually a perfect fit for FP xs because I'm 5'3 and 100 lbs. I tried everything I could to convince myself I could keep it and wear it in some way because the gauze material is gorgeous, but I can't. So back she goes... and me here with a sad face. :("

love it!

"people are correct that you do need to be careful with jewelry, etc, so it doesn't snag, but it truly is a beautiful top. the top part looks very victorian or vintage. it's loose and looks great over black tank/leggings, etc. i think it's a bit overpriced but super unique and flowy. i love it and am so glad i bought it :-)"

Feminine
1.25.2013
"I love tops like this they go perfect with skinny or stretch pants and boots. Although very lovely, I snagged it as soon as I tried it on.. oh well, I kept it anyway.. one because it was my fault and two I did not want to chance not receiving a replacement. This top does run large and it is see through.. must wear an undergarment with this one"

lovely feminine tunic
1.14.2013
"I read all of the reviews before purchasing this item. I was so hesitant for two reasons: 1) sizing & 2) the delicate fabric. I am a size 4 and normally go with a size S in FP. I went with my normal size since I did want the roomy look that appears on the model. So the size S for me worked out well (deceiving on this online photo since the model has her arms down so you cant really view how roomy the sides are). This item is cut on an A-line (flares out in a trapeze shape). The fabric is a very delicate mesh like weave (like a cheese cloth). I have other items like this so I know better not to wear some jewelry items with it...it will snag easy. I ordered this in the Antique color which is a Cream/Parchment color (not an ivory/off white). It is very lovely and is so reminiscent of old fashioned romantic garments. Very feminine."

billowy, not for me
1.11.2013
"I love how this looks on the model, and assumed it would be more body hugging in the front. But it is cut in a loose box shape. The arm holes are square and hang down when one's arms are outstretched. I'm 5'7", 125 34B,, and the XS was large enough. The delicate material would snag too easily to be practical for me, so unfortunately it's going back."

Lovely and delicate

"I love this top. I bought it in the cream, which is an antique cream color and a sze S which is a size down from my usual M. I am 6' and 154 lbs. This is quite delicate and I washed it by hand so as not to damage it. I wore it with a bodycon black vest underneath which really showed off the detail. It is quite see through and does need a vest, but a great top that can be dressed up and down and I think I will get loads of wear out of it."

Huh??????
12.23.2012
"After reading all the great reviews I was excited to get this tunic. I am by no means small, I have a large frame and at 5' 10" I am about 165 lbs . I ordered the medium and it was huge. It reminded me of a tent made out of cheese cloth. The material was very delicate as stated, but it was so flimsy and unattractive I didn't think it was worth trying another size. It is completely mystifying to me what the appeal is. I quickly sent it back."

"I love this shirt. It is beautiful and flowy. It is extremely flattering and makes your outfit look effortless yet stylish. It is extremely delicate so be careful about what jewelry you wear. Bracelets can snag the delicate shirt. It is definitely worth the price. I have it in mint and I hope to purchase it in other colors when they come back. It got a size small and it is big but that is the way I like it. It is supposed to be roomy and flowy.."

Beautiful
11.25.2012
"This is simply gorgeous. I put it over a black cami, it's necesary as it's totally sheer, and paired it with leggings. Adorable, feminine, sweet. It is OVER-SIZED. I normally wear a small in all FP products, I'm 5'2", petite, and I ordered an xs in this. It is still extremey roomy but it hangs beautifully. It's meant to be that big and flowy. It folds and drapes and looks so dreamy. Seriously, I love it. The back falls lower than the front, adding to the beautiful drape. It is very very delicate, just be very careful with it. I washed it in cold, delicate and hung it to dry. Perfect. Buy it!"

AT LAST....My Love Is Here.......
11.9.2012
"After waiting over a year for this 'sweater' to go on sale or be in stock, in XS, right color, re-reading the reviews to make myself feel better as to not getting it although it was love at first sight and there isn't anything out there that even remotely looks like this top. Dream Catcher came out this year and it's described as delicate and "is machine washable" ?!?!?!! huh? I bought it in Ivory and have come to the conclusion, ANYTHING I REALLY love from FP is delicate. After wearing Dream Catcher multiple times with lace sleeves and all, while doing the type of work I do, designing and building large store displays, that involves hanging from ladders, crawling, etc....I caved in, you win. LOL
I got it in black and ivory because tea was sold out. I bought 2 of each color just in case, if anything wasn't right I would still have one if I needed to exchange anything, risking that it might be OOS. I'm happy to say both colors are a keeper and sending back the spares.
This top is so versatile, unique and since I don't wear jewelry...nothing catches. I have worked while wearing both colors and both made it through unscathed multiple times. I am ecstatic! It is loose, so size down. Other than that, it fits just like Dream Catcher, floaty, moves with your moves, XS is a little bit over 1 inch shorter than S, hit's mid thigh if 5'3". I have never waited this long to buy anything. I'm done..... Now the only thing missing is one of my future ex-husbands. :D"

beautiful!

"gorgeous & worth the price. i already have 2 of these, but if this tunic ever goes on sale, i'll probably end up ordering another one. :) its a very versatile layering piece - there are a lot things you can wear with this for different looks... i'm having fun playing around with mine & have gotten a lot of compliments! i wouldn't consider this a sweater at all - just a sheer, pretty boho top. i've been machine washing mine on delicate, in a lingerie bag - and i haven't had any problems with this top snagging/tearing in the wash. still, it is delicate & tends to catch on my fingernails while i'm wearing it (even though my nails are short)... so i really wouldn't recommend wearing any sort of jewelry with it! I'm normally a FP size medium, but ordered this in both medium & small... both sizes fit & are flowy on me. i guess my only complaint about this top is that its a bit shapeless, no matter what size. I have a long torso & broad shoulders, so the little bit of extra length/sleeve/neckline width on the medium worked best for me. i feel like most of this top is free-sized & forgiving (including the boob area!), so just go by your shoulders & height. :) pics are of me wearing the sz small."

"Ok, just to give you an idea of just how big this top runs, I am 8 months pregnant 185 pounds and size Lrg is still huge on me!!! Pro's are that it is delicate and the details are pretty but seriously there is no way I am going to be wearing this after my pregnancy it is way to wide and quite long. size down drastically if you are still considering it!!"
