"I received my dress in a Medium 15 days after ordering.. (loong wait) so I'm excited to wear it. The fabric is actually thicker than I was expecting based on other reviews, and in the pictures shown. If you wear skin colored underwear it should be relatively safe without a slip. The seam on the back kind of hits my butt in a funny place, (I'm 5'8" with long legs/short torso) but if I pull it down a tad then it fits like it does on the model. The dress is close fitting everywhere except the seam on the back, where it kind of falls straight...making me look a little thicker around the middle than I actually am. Nice lenght, although the front is longer than the back.. never seen that before. Overall...8/10!"

"the material is very comfortable although kind of thin, but overall the dress is very flattering! I got and xs and I'm 5'1" so the dress is a little long but nothing that can't be fixed with a pair of heels. It hugs the body nicely and works well for petite girls!"

"I tend to adore Free People maxi dresses. I have most of the ones under $150 that have come out in the past few years. I'm 5'8" and always find the length just about perfect. The same was true of this dress. The length was good for my height and I love the color. The sheerness didn't bother me as I have a range of slips in many colors. It would be fun to wear a colorful slip underneath! My problem with the dress, and the reason I'm returning it, is the odd seams. Especially the back seam intended to fall just below the butt. You can see on the model where it falls but on me, it went across my butt. It was uncomfortable and unflattering. I'm not sure who this dress would fit properly. You'd have to be shorter than 5'8" for that seam to hit right but then the dress would possibly be too long. It was the perfect length for my height so if you're shorter, keep in mind you may have to hem it. But I bet the back seam makes your butt look fantastic. The potential was there for me but I'm just a tad too tall. Or perhaps my torso is too long.
All in all, this is a gorgeous dress in a great draping material but look closely at the seams in the pictures and try to think of where they might hit your body. If it's not just the right place, they'll look very odd.
I'm returning it but only because of how it fit *me*."

"i love this dress. the shaping is very nice - with a low, feminine back - but you can still wear a bra* it's not too long like most fp dresses so you can wear flat boots with it. you do, however, need to wear a slip underneath as the material is thin. sizing is true to size. i bought an xs and i'm 5'4" 110lbs."

Adorable but...

"I ordered this dress on-line and had it within 48hrs. I love that about FP. The dress is very cute and flattering. I am 5'4" , 125 and I ordered the small. My only complaint has to do with the poor quality of the fabric. For $108, I think that the material should be much more substantial. The material is so thin you can almost see through it ;-after taking a second look - I can see how sheer it is on the model. I'd hoped to wear this out with a cute scarf and boots, but I'm afraid I'd freeze my tail off. It's a shame because it is really quite adorable. I haven't decided if I'm keeping it or not ."
