"this hat is awesome. i was so happy when i received it! it came packaged well, no wrinkles or folds and it is of beautiful quality. my only complaint is that the hat is really big, and definitely did not fit my head BUT that problem was easily fixed with a little piece of weather stripping stuck in the back. love it! perfect color of spring/summer!"
"Pretty boho hat, that was squished into a package with other items. arrived with folds that i bet were not part of the original design... I totally would have overseen that, but sadly this hat is huuuuge...id say it fits like a large size. And i have a small head. I wish FP would write the circumference or size in description..."
"Received this yesterday, very pleased with the look which is stylish and retro without being outlandish. I think my hat size is about average and this fits comfortably. It doesn't feel as if it will blow off too easily! The crown is quite high, which is a nice design feature. The colour is true on screen and is very adaptable. The distressing round the crown is a nice touch, which looked better once I pulled off a few messy matted fibres. It looks good with a light scarf tied around the crown too. The edge of the brim is just cut, not stitched, which could have made it look cheap, but actually just keeps the style clean & simple in a good way. The quality seems good with the proviso that sometimes with floppy hats you don't know how the brim is going to hold up over months/years of wear, and it isn't cheap so I am hoping for many years' use. It is probably a good sign that it recovered from being poorly packed (for which 1 star down!). It arrived in a box far too small for it with the brim badly folded under the crown on one side, and the crown quite badly crushed, so it looked awful with the brim hanging straight down on one side. I thought I was going to have to return it, but tried steaming the offending areas over the kettle and gently encouraging it back into shape by hand (as instructed on eHow). This worked and the hat has recovered its shape and substance. I'd like to suggest to FP that this should be shipped in a plastic bag large enough not to fold the brim, and in a larger box, upside down with tissue round & under the brim to support it, and tissue in the crown & over! All in all a great hat which will add style to many different kinds of autumn/winter outfits. I'd love to know: does anybody know if you can showerproof a hat like this with scotchguard or silicon spray without ruining the colour or the structure?"
