"I should have paid attention to the other reviews. This is not intended for a short person first of all becase it's SO BIG!! It is basically a piece of fabric with a hole cut out for the head. Maybe it will look nice on someone who is the same size as the model but not for a person who is 5 feet tall."

"when this went down to the extremely low price of 29.95, i decided to give it a shot. i bought my usual xs in peony. for starters, it is very, very large. if i weren't already an xs to begin with, i probably would have gone two sizes smaller. second, its more of a poncho than a cape. there are no arm holes and it kind of just drapes over your shoulders. lastly, the color is just rather drab. it looks a bit more vibrant online, but in person the stripes are not as noticeable. it is fairly warm, but still i am going to return it. even for the price, i just really don't like it."

"I was waiting by the mailbox with excitement and anticipation..I was expecting this sweater to look as effortless and chic as it did in the photos. Expectations can lead to big disappointments. The photo's displayed this sweater on the model in the best possible way, impossible to replicate for more than a 7 seconds! Instead it looked like I was being smothered by a worn out dish towel!"

"The cape is nice, made well and has nice thick material. It just isn't special enough. It is very large and will blanket you like a sack. I'm sure it will keep you warm in the winter. It is just too shapeless for a really stylish look."

"I ordered this in the peony and was ambivalent about it. The fabric is very nice and thicker than I was expecting. It seems like it will wear will without many pulls or snags. However, I found the colors to be very bland compared to the web images. It washed the item out and made it look worn and old. Aside from that, I loved the oversized, cozy fit of the cape. It was longer than I expected and could definitely be worn with a slip or leggings even on my 5'8" frame. I ordered my usual size and it was a bit baggy, but I think it added to the cape fit. If you prefer less fabric, size down. I think I'm going to return the peony and exchange for the black, a color that I think will be richer and do more justice to the cape design. I recommend trying this on in person if possible. It has the potential to be a summer night and early fall wardrobe staple IF you like the color combo and fit."
