"I ordered the aqua riva scarf a few months ago and it arrived as pictured in the catalog and on-line (i.e., the background color was aqua on 1/2 the scarf and hot green on the other 1/2). I have received many compliments on it, including from my sister. However, when I ordered a second scarf for my sister, the scarf that arrived was only aqua. I called Free People and the customer service rep. in response to my tale, read the boilerplate language from the website that "colors may vary due to the dye process." I tried to explain that this wasn't a dye issue, but to no avail. Therefore, I called a second customer service rep., who also quoted me the same language. However, I firmly told this rep. that I had both scarves in front of me and they were clearly two different scarves, and the variation was not attributable to a dye variation. I returned the second scarf, but did not appreciate the unthinking adherance of the customer service reps. to the boilerplate language which was inapplicable to the situation, particularly given how many items I have purchased from Free People. Having said that, I like the scarf so much, I bought in-store the scarf that is bubblegum pink (not shown in the catalog), and gave it to my daughter."
