Distressed 5-pocket denim shorts with scalloped crochet trimming around bottom hems. Zipper and button fly. Some destroyed texture in places for a cool, worn-in feel and look. Bottom hems above the trimming are frayed.

"I was very pleasantly surprised by the nice quality of the fabric - it's soft but not flimsy. However, it runs pretty large. I usually buy size 24 in FP jeans and this was definitely too big. But I did like it and kept it anyway - the waist area just settles on my hips and the fit is very loose but perhaps can pass off as slightly "hippie-ish" (I tried a belt but it didn't work - the sides stick out funny as if it was an A-line skirt). If you want it to be figure hugging though, I would recommend sizing down."

"These are the cutest shorts! I bought them online and wasn't sure about the fit so I bought my usual size which is 25. They are a little big but not too big and I know when I wash them they wont shrink too small. If you want then fitted I would size down but I am glad I didn't because I am not a fan of tight short shorts.. Overall a great purchase!"

"These shorts are so wonderful. They fit and feel great on and the lace detail is such a perfect outfit improvement from regular cut offs. I bought the green color which go so great with a sheer blouse or a simple white dolman. I tried on a size up at the store and was pleasantly surprised that they ran true to size, so I sized back down. I'm about 5'4 and the length is great on me.
I will be wearing these all summer. Hopefully in every color ;)"

"I purchased these shorts in the pacific railroad color and they are absolutely gorgeous! They fit true to size, (I am 5'6 115, 32A, and I purchased the 26.) They aren't too short and I love the lace that sticks out at the end. The one problem is my mom kept saying she thought the shorts looked dirty.. but that's just the vintage look to them. Very nice!"

"I got these in the black color in a 25. I love them and get complements on them all the time. My only thing is that they are a little tight and ride up. I think it is because I have washed them so much, but they are still cute. I love how I can wear them in the summer and then in the winter with tights and boots."

"I fell in love with these shorts as soon as I first put them on! They are the perfect length, short but not to short and super comfortable. I got the daisy wash and they go great with so many different things! I could wear them everyday! The only thing is they stretch out a bit after wearing them, but I don't mind because it gives them a cute slouchy look that is super awesome for a cool beachy look :)"

"Getting the shorts delivered to the UK made them slight more expensive, but thankfully they turned out to be really nice. The denim is really soft and slightly distressed. I got mine in the light blue color and they are a bit darker than the picture, but it's still a really nice shade of blue. After reading all of the reviews i wasn't sure which size to get, but in the end i went with 24. I am glad i did since they fit me alright, although they are slightly loose in the waist. For a reference, I'm an 5'1, 107 pounds, UK size 6."

"These run a tad bit large for their size label, so I recommend sizing down just ONE size. I purchased the dark coal grey pair, figured that out, then bought the daisy wash pair in a size down from that :) If they're a little tight when you put them on, they will definitely stretch out a bit.
I love the length and fit - just a little high and very flattering. Would love that gravel (super light grey) wash to be restocked in my size...!"

"i fell in love with these when i saw them online and i had to try them on in a store to seal the deal. i'm a 28 and they fit really true to size. however, after i bought them i noticed a little stain on the white lace detailing on the bottom and when to exchange them, the other 28 i got in return felt about 2 sizes too small. They grabbed me another pair from the back and that fit just fine. i recommend trying them on in stores to make sure you get a pair that fits just right for you"

"I tried these shorts on in my local Free People. These shorts are so adorable. I found them to run try to size. I did not purchase them because I felt uncomfortable in them. I have never been a big short person, I prefer dresses. The style I with the lace trim I feel is for a younger person, while I am a youthful free-spirited artsy person I did not feel they were something I should wear. But again, they are adorable so I suggest you try them."

"Usually I am a size 0 in FP shorts. I'm 5'1" and 110llbs, petite built. I didn't know if I was a 24 or 25 but in the end, i decided to go for the 24 because I didnt want the baggy look. It fit me, a little tight but i'm thinking i just need to break into them and let the fabric loosen up. I got the darkest color #black/grey# and it's cute. I think i wanna get the other one with the white lace too because it's very unique and looks great on."

"didn't think too much of it until i tried it on. it looks good with anything!! the sizing is always different for fp, hmm...like my usual size fit well in the gravel wash, but it's a little bigger in the daisy. i might get the darker gray if it ever goes on sale, though i think it'll look better in white lace than the gray lace."

"I have been on the hunt for a pair of cute high waisted denim shorts. It has taken me forever to find the perfect fitting pair, till I came across these lovely denim shorts from Free People.I immediately fell in love with the lace bottom, and knew I had to have these shorts. I'm usually a 26 in pants, but since some reviews said to order a size bigger I ordered a 27. This was a terrible decision. When the 27's came, I put them on and they were too big, so I then ordered the 26's. I was SO HAPPY I decided to get the 26 because they fit like a glove. SO SO perfect! For reference, I have more of an athletic/straight build. So the leg holes were not tight on my thighs at all, and the waist fits perfectly. Cannot stress to you how glad I am to have splurged on these shorts!"
