Fantastic buy!

"I just got this dress in the mail today and I'm wearing it now! I'm a short curvy thing (5'2" at my tallest, 135-ish pounds) and the x-small/small fits fantastically. Yeah, I need to belt it to get the shape I want, but I have one that works perfectly with the dress. I love the gauzy material, though it scratches a bit at the shoulders. Would buy again!"

Absolutely perfect!

"I just got this in ivory and it is so beautiful and romantic. The fabric is soft but a little fragile. This sale price is great for this dress. I highly recommend is and would wear it everyday if I could. This is one of my favorite Free People Pieces I have ever gotten."

Wanted it to work so badly!
9.5.2013
"I ordered the rosewater color in a small and I was swimming in this dress (I'm 5'4", 34D and a little curvy) and the elastic in the off-the-shoulder was so weak the whole dress felt like it was going to fall off of me. I could wear it up on my shoulders, but still was not the look I was hoping for. And the armholes hung so low, one would have to wear something like a bandeau under it. The waist did not taper in on me like in the picture, creating an unflattering silhouette. Wearing a belt with it could give it a little shape, but would take away from the romantic feel. The color and detail was beautiful, but the fabric (although good quality) was a strange texture. I wanted it to work, but it just fit so loosely and shapelessly, I couldn't get excited about it :("

Just as described

"This is my first purchase from FP and I am very pleased that the dress is exactly as described and looks exactly like what the model is wearing. I,m 5'7", 135 pounds and I ordered the M/L. I will indeed need to take it up slightly under the arms to give the dress a more A-line appearance which will be extremely easy to do. Love the dress."

very pretty

"i really like this dress. it is a bit big, and i would have liked if the waist was more fitted, because otherwise it sort of falls like a sack instead of a nice a-line. of course, this can be fixed easily with a belt, but still. the shoulder drape is really pretty and i love all the different laces and ribbons they used. the gauze is beautiful and i like the length of this dress. i found that i can wear it on or off the shoulders, and it looks ok either way. i might add some elastic around the waist, though, just to give it some shape."

Ultra feminine, maybe TOO sweet.

"I thought this dress was completely precious when I first saw it online, and I recently got the chance to try both colors on in the store. The rosewater one has more of a "peasant" look to it, while the ivory is extremely demure and angelic. One thing to note is that this dress is quite big and loose - I really don't know how the models make it look that fitted, because on me it was a lot more baggy (and I'm not petite). I mean, the dress is good quality other than the fit... The material is nice and I really do like the concept, but because it's so incredibly loose, it comes across as too sugary. Perhaps that was the intent and it would probably look adorable on someone else who's into that style, but I personally would've liked it more if the waist were more fitted and if the shoulder drapes weren't so huge."
