"I was pretty underwhelmed by this dress. Thinking it would be an easy yes, I threw the Ivory colour in with an order a while back, but I was disappointed with what arrived. First of all, it's quite see-through, particularly in the bust area, meaning you're rather bullied into wearing a bra with it, which isn't really necessary for some cup sizes otherwise. Also, I really disliked the straps. They definitely brought the quality of the dress down and made it look a fair bit cheaper. (I know $100 is inexpensive for FP, but really, it's not that inexpensive, is it?) And lastly, the empire arced up in a weird way in the front (see picture). It could have been because the fabric was rather thin that it pulled so much on my ribcage, but not enough to require a size up; just enough to look slightly awkward. Oh well. (For the record, I am about 125 lbs, 32D and bought my usual XS.)"

"this dress is stunning! i bought the lilac one and it's perfect. the dress is more purple in real life than in pictures, but this it to your advantage, because it's such a pretty color! the waist fits a little loose on my body, but i paired the dress with a simple braided belt and it fixed that problem. i can't wait to wear it to my school dance!"

"Yes, I have worn this dress for all occasions. I am really pale, so I didn't think that I could pull off the ivory colour, but I was wrong! I received it as a gift before Christmas (to wear for the holiday) and it really flatters my skin tone after all.
It's comfortable, shiny without being tacky at all and is just a really stunning piece. I wish the straps were a bit more interesting, but no other complaints. Well worth the price for how much use I've gotten out of it!"

"I ordered this dress in the white/champaine color, and I liked this color the most. The bottom of the dress felt cheap though, and the bottom of the dress was not even hemmed, just cut right off. It was not the most flattering though either. The bottome flared out to the sides oddly. I am going to return this dress and exchange it for another dress on here."

"I bought this dress in the hopes it would suit my hourglass figure. I'd never shopped at Free People before, and I when I saw the dress worn by Lea Michele on Glee, I just knew I had to find it!
I ended up getting the lilac version of this dress. It is a little more lilac than the picture suggests, but this is only a good thing! The silver bottom of the dress is vibrant and stunningly eye catching.
When I put this dress on, I felt really girly and pretty. I wear a 34F bra size and was worried the medium might be too tight. I was wrong! When I put it on, I was suprised at the high quality material that clings in all the right places and flares over the bits I don't like!
For reference I'm 20 years old, my waist is 29 inches and my hips are 39 inches, and I'm 5"5, and the medium fits great and is reallt flattering!
Will definetely buy from Free People again and I really recommend this dress if you have an hourglass/ top heavy figure like me!"

"I bought this dress for a new years eve party and everyone there absolutely loved it!!! It is extremely pretty and very reflective at the bottom, which makes it interesting. I am 5'8" and weigh 127 lbs and I purchased a small. It fits very well. The only reason I did not give this dress five stars is because it is a bit sheer. Even with the lining, you can still see through a little bit, especially if you wear black tights underneath. Otherwise this is a fantastic dress and I definitely recommend buying it!"

"This is my first experience with Free People clothing. I purchased this dress online for my birthday party next week. I'm 5'6" and 120lbs. I ordered a small which was loose and baggy. The pictures look like a well fitted dress, mid thigh, and completely lined. In fact, the dress was completely sheer, and stopped an inch above my knee (nothing like the pictures!). The tissue paper thin "lining" had been sewn with a seam (which in the picture looks like a straight seam attaching the bodice and the skirt) which was crooked and laid under the lace. The bottom was not hemmed at all. I was sorely disappointed with the quality and the fit. I'm returning this today."

"I tried this dress on in the store in ivory a few weeks ago (after seeing the black a week earlier and not trying it on) and absolutely loved it. It does seem to be a bit loose, so if you are unsure what size to get, size down. It has adjustable straps, so that helps if it is a bit big. I was looking for a dress to wear when I go down to the Bahamas over spring break and have casino and club nights, so I wanted the black one. I was so happy when I looked online and saw it was back in stock. It had floored me in the store, and I'm so excited to own it! It's a stunning, unique dress and I'm so in love with it."

"I got the lilac color in medium thinking to size up so that it wasn't too short. I'm 5'8, 120 lbs. The fit is loose and not how it fits on the model, tight on the chest and back area. I pinned the excess material with a safety pin but like other reviewer, I'm scared to have someone take it in because they probably would mess up. The material really is beautiful and soft, and I still received a lot of compliments when I wore it out. Just would recommend sizing down if you're in between."
